Teaching is a very nobel profession that shapes the character, Calibre and future of an individual. That is the biggest honor for the teachers. 5th September is observed as the Teachers Day in our Country. School, colleges are decorated on this day. The country and special programs are organised with full enthusiasm.

5th September is the birthday of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan. This great son of India was an outstanding scholar and teacher. Later he became the vice president of India Republic, when Dr. Rajendra Prasad was the President of India. When he died, Radhakrishnan become the President.

He was highly appreciated for his work and was also wll liked by his students. He believed that the Teacher is the person who prepare the youth as the future of the Country. This was the reasons that he fulfilled this responsibility of the professor so diligently and always tried to give good values to his students. This day is observed to pay respect to the Teachers of our country. We also pay our respects to our own Teachers. Teachers are regarded as the back bone of our society. They have the greatest contribution to build up the characters of Students and help them to become ideal citizens of our country.

Teachers teach students most carefully and sincerely and love them as their own children. We owe them more than our parents. Our parents bring up and give us food and drink for our survival but teachers kindle our hearts with light of knowledge and remove all shorts of ignorance. They Inspire us to proceed forward to build our ethics and prepare us to stand obstacles of our life. On this day the Govt. also pays respect to them by giving different awards.

On this day we give them thanks and honour by saying - We are great ful to you dear teacher for all you do for us. We must follow your advice and promise to be the ideal and worthy men of India.
